Carmen Le Fey

Carmen Miranda was a popular stage and film actress in the 40s and 50s.  She was often cast in roles that emphasized her Brazilian heritage and was often depicted wearing a hat topped with various fruit.

I don’t know why, but a lot of movies from around this time period leaves me slightly uncomfortable with the way a lot of “non-american” cultures are portrayed.

Maybe it’s just me.

But I dare you to watch ”What makes the red man red?” from Peter Pan (you can look it up on youtube) and not cringe at the lyrics.

Hey Cedric, stumbled onto your web comic after being told about it by another person from our region. This is Brandon from the RPGA. Just wanted to stop by and say hi to you from Alice and I. Enjoyed reading the comic so far, and our weekend gaming group got a real laugh out of the Adamatine Door story that was related in the comic.

Thanks for reading the strip! I’m sure we weren’t the only party that managed to get that door. Seriously, that door was the priciest thing in that dungeon. =)
