Once again, Toad is abandoned. He should be used to it by now.
It’s interesting that toad sends the golem-crab-thing to attack the monster without consideration for its survival. It’s almost like it’s his own personal familiar or animal companion or something…
It’s been said many times – you don’t need to run faster than the monster, you just need to run faster than the fighter in full plate.
Just be sure that fighter doesn’t have Boots of Speed…. (in 3.5 at least)

That’s why I learned the art of D.Door and always carried a scroll of Teleport.
