Apocaypse Now is an epic war film set in the vietnam era (it was based on the book Heart of Darkness along with various other influences). Every time I see it used in writing or conversation, it usually covers some serious and somber topic, which is only natural considering its subject matter.
However, ever since Seinfeld, whenever I read or hear “Apocalypse Now”, I keep hearing George and Frank Castanza (indeed, the entire cast) yelling “Serenity Now!” which gives it a whole different context (see episode 159 to know what I’m talking about).
