Do people actually still use pocket protectors? I mean, outside of bad movies and television shows trying to portray the stereotypical nerd?
I actually own a couple (pocket protectors, not nerds). I’ve never used them, but my father used to attend a lot of business conventions in the the 80s and 90s where they seemed to be the promotional item of choice for companies to stamp their logos on and he gave me several. Yeah, I still have them all these years later. I’m a bit of a pack rat.
As for pens used as weapons…there are actually several ways to use them as weapons outside of James Bond films. Other than just stabbing someone in the eye with a standard pen, there are are pen knives (with a hidden blade), pens with hidden poison containers, and even an actual pen gun with a single bullet discharge.
Pen mightier than the sword? Apparently. Especially so when that pen is a gun.
A pocket protector would probably be very useful if the pen can shoot.
I remember a news item that someone had murdered by using a pen as crossbow bolt
