So the NDA for the WoW Cataclysm Beta has been lifted. I just recently got an invite and downloaded the client just yesterday.
I haven’t played it much, but is there anything anyone’s curious about? Want me to take screenshots or test out something?
I probably won’t be able to get to it til the weekend, but if there’s anything I should check out, I’d appreciate it if people could chime in.
I already got a WoW comic idea from playing 10 minutes in the goblin starting zone…
I’d love it if you could confirm if Worgen warlocks automatically transform when getting into a fight.
And also if transforming into a Worgen gives you some kinda combat bonus.

I played a couple of hours today and checked it out.
All Worgen transform to their beast forms whenever in combat regardless of class. So if you aggro someone, you automatically turn wolf. It was actually useful a couple of times when I didn’t notice the red flashing nameplate that indicates you’re in combat.
Transforming into a beast doesn’t give any special abilities. Using the Worgen racial Darkflight (70% speed increase for 10 sec, 3 min cooldown) transforms you into a beast automatically as well.
Overall, I’m liking the Worgen starting zone a lot better than the Goblin one.
Also, top hats are cool.

Yeah, top hats are great. You should most definently get one of your characters a top hat.
