Toad is quick to come to his human’s defense aint he? This, despite much evidence of not so nice behavior from his wizard. Battered familiar syndrome anyone?
Speaking of untrustworthy…did you know that developmental psychologists consider lying to be a milestone event in child rearing? One experiment that tested the tendency of kids to lie had kids who were told not to peek at a toy. Of those that did peek, they were asked if they did so. At age 2, about 25% of the kids lied. At age 3, about half did. By age 4, around 90% of them did. This trend continues til about age 15, where it starts to drop (70% chance of lying for 17 year olds).
Combine this with the increasing trend of obesity among kids and you know what my conclusion is?
Kids are big fat liars.

Now that -with the kids- was a bit thick.
Nothing but the truth!
