De-tail

Have you ever had a car detailed?

It’s basically just a fancy name for getting your car thoroughly cleaned and polished.

The last time I had a car detailed, I went somewhere that came recommended but have never been to before.  The cashier on the counter asked me what I would like my car to smell like.  The last place I went to didn’t really offer this service.  Among the fragrances they offered was vanilla, lemon, cherry, pine and new car smell.  I was thinking “Neat!  They actually have a machine to make the inside of my car smell like new! Fancy.”

I asked a couple of questions; whether the scent would discolor any leather upholstery, and how long it would last, etc.

After spending a few minutes on the question, I finally settled on Lemon scent.

The cashier then handed me a quarter sized piece of cardboard with a scent on it.

I was so disappointed.
