Toad Contradictions

If Toad seems desperate to accept any explanation that lets him avoid a messy future, it’s because he is.

I’m sorta glad that I didn’t settle on a single edition of D&D to describe the actions going on in this story.  That would have placed some limits on what I can do with the characters or at the very least, the need to explain the differences from what I’ve stated as canon.

Rich Burlew of the Order of the Stick sort of made the same decision in not explicitly stating the stats of his characters or sticking with any one edition, so he doesn’t have to contradict himself in case he decides to change something for the sake of the story (even though he started with some jokes about the transition from 3e to 3.5e).

I’ve found it convenient to be able to add or subtract abilities to some of the characters without having to worry about contradicting myself. Of course, my lack of stats was mostly due to laziness, but I still appreciate it though.
