Familiar Ground

So apparently Toad has some abandonment issues to work out.  Knowing how most adventurers treat their animal companions as little more than meat shields or tools (if they think of them at all), it’s not hard to figure out why (case in point, what was the final fate of Harry Potter’s owl?  Hmm?).
