Coulrophobia is the unnatural fear of clowns.
A surprisingly large portion of the population find clowns scary. I know they freak me out. Personally, I’m convinced that a single movie event managed to create this fear in the current generation.
The bedroom scene of the clown doll in Steven Spielberg’s Poltergeist.
That clown doll put fear into a generation of children and single-handedly killed the circus industry.
I’m convinced of it.

Welcome back, Cedric.
I misread that as Coulterphobia.
A clown’s a clown I suppose.
i think the movie “it” would be more of a reason of coulrophobia then poltergeist. atleast “it” gave it to me and most people i know.
