See. It was too good to be true.
In other news, have you guys seen this crazy fad where people wear overly large contact lenses to look like anime/cartoon characters? It’s pretty freaky.
It’s illegal in the US (you need a prescription to get contacts, so you’re not supposed to be able to just buy them online), but that doesn’t stop dedicated cosplayers.
Some news outlets blame the trend on Lady Gaga (she wore them in one of her videos), but this is one freaky accessory that’s been around longer than she has (though to be fair, it’s mostly been popular around anime conventions previously).

since they’re larger, does that make then easier to find?
I think the fact that they’re usually colored helps a bit too.
But I used to wear contacts and I know how annoying they are to pick them up sometimes.
Gives a whole new meaning to Pink Eye.
Heh, I used to own a pair of contacts that had no purpose except to make my eyes blue. At the time I bought them, there were also contacts that would make your eyes have various symbols on them as well. You need a prescription for prescription contacts in the US – that does not mean you cannot buy non-prescription contacts that have no purpose but to alter your eye’s appearance in the US though does it? It’s just like women who live close to the border going to Mexico for their birth control pills to save money.
