Did you guys read through all of the anecdotes given by people who entered the Village of Hommlet giveaway?
I did.
And I have to say, that there is some funny stuff in there. Also, some stories that are a tad odd. Some are outright bizarre.
If anyone wants to still contribute stories to that list even though the contest is over, please feel free

when he shapeshifted, did the hair at the shop disapeer?
Good question. To be honest, I don’t know
We’ll find out if the guys ever go back to that shop (or have bounty hunters after them for fraud).
There’s nothing like free-form shapeshifting to ruin the market for organic goods… or inorganic goods, depending on the shapeshifter. Sort of like what would happen to a gold-based economy if alchemists succeeded in making a cheap and easy way to turn stuff into gold…
I recall that shapeshift/polymorph in 3e didn’t allow for this. Parts that are cut off return back to their normal form. I think that polymorph in 2e also couldn’t be used for components (I might be wrong).
But doesn’t polymorph in 3e allow you to heal every time you shift? Or am I thinking of a druid only ability?
The other question is, even IF the tail did remain, did it lose its celestial nature due to the payment for the wish, and if so, did that nature come back from the other wish, or remain uncelestial since it wasn’t a part of him anymore?
Also, is there a market for celestial horse droppings? I can see that being some funky spell component for a holy fireball or something.
