Toad is referring to the fact that Sasha is an Arcane Channel.

I don’t remember exactly which edition it was, but I recall reading an Eberron campaign book that stated that Warforged can incorporate normal tools and equipment into their bodies.  Looking at the equipment list, and going by that rule, that means storage equivalent to a backpack. And a sack.  Maybe even a belt pouch.

The really odd thing about that ruling though is that some of the stuff in the standard adventurer’s equipment list don’t exactly make much sense.  I mean how is a warforged supposed to incorporate a ten foot pole into it’s body?

On second thought, don’t answer that.

Remember when monsters used to be assigned letters for treasure types, back in the BECMI boxed sets?  I think it was treasure type H that had the largest variety of quality gems, magic items and jewelry pieces.  Mostly only dragons had them.  I recall thinking that it was strange that Diamonds were not the most expensive piece of gemstone in those tables.  Rather that belonged to Jacinths.

In FG news, there was a slight problem with the servers on Wednesday.  The site was down for most of the day and I’m still trying to figure out what went wrong.

Here ends the introduction.  We’ve got an inkling of the plot and we’ve met the main characters: Toad, Coco and Lady Sasha.

Wait, what about their humans!?  We haven’t seen them yet.

True, but this story isn’t about them. 

Sure, the current story line involves a quest that the humans are on, but the main focus is still on the three animal companions.  Their humans act more as the background than as actual personalities in the strip.

Is it keeping something in?  Or is it keeping people out?

In the real world, apparently there are some boxes, objects and buildings made entirely out of human bones.

Bones?  Seriously?  What’s wrong with wood, bricks or even legos?

Poor Coco.  Everyone knows that the bigger you are, the more you have to eat. 

Ask any weightlifter.  Seriously those guys eat nonstop, like every hour, on the hour.  They’re like hobbits.

If you remember to drink it every day, do you really need a memory enhancing herb though?

Have you ever had occasions when you realize that you’re in the middle of a conversation and you have no idea what the other person has been saying for the past few minutes?  The comedian Ellen has put forth the idea that you should just insert Gloria Estefan in the conversation if your opinion is asked.

Example:

“What do you think Cedric?”

“Oh, that’s like Gloria Estefan.”

“How is Gloria Estefan like fiber?”

“Umm…because unless you take fiber, your colon is gonna get you?  Just like rhythm and the Miami Sound Machine?”

In all versions of D&D, specialists are better than generalists in their chosen specialty. That’s fine in of itself, but not all encounters are arranged such that the specialty will come into play.

The more specific your specialization, the better you are in that task, but the less likely it is for a situation to arise where that task is useful.

Specializing in dealing damage? Should come up a lot. Specializing in maximizing bluff, but only against a bloodied Tarrasque? Not so much. Though playing dead might be a good tactic for some (or about equivalent to what they’ll contribute anyways).

Have any of you tried watching old Disney movies recently? Peter Pan, Sword in the Stone, Fox and the Hound? I’m rather surprised at the amount of content aimed specifically at adults that were contained in those films. They totally went over my head when I was younger, but now that I’m older I’m rather surprised that they included them.

Then again, going by the fact that the content did go unnoticed by my younger mind, perhaps it doesn’t really matter.

At least it’ll keep the adults entertained when they’re forced to watch those movies with their kids.

Why isn’t She-ra called She-woman? And why does she get the honor of greyskull and not the power? I’m sure she would like a bit of power now and again.

In any edition of D&D, high strength doesn’t normally corrolate with a lower to-hit bonus (unless you’re playing a 3e Hulking Hurler build). So this joke doesn’t exactly work if going by those rules. Let’s just pretend that he’s low level (otherwise, why would he be fighting kobolds?) and call it a day, huh?
