I’ve got a friend that likes to greet people by giving them a friendly jab to the arm or shoulder.
Where did this practice originate from? When did inflicting pain (albeit a small amount), constitute a friendly greeting? Maybe I just haven’t played enough organized sports where this sort of thing is probably more common.
Anyhoo.
I wonder how he greets his wife.
I sometimes jab people too. Of course I have some Neanderthal DNA….
